2020 Men’s GOLD, QUARTER-FINALS
All-Egyptian semi-finals are in store in Cairo after two upset wins set up clashes against the top two seeds.
Mostafa Asal was hugely impressive as he beat Colombian Miguel Rodriguez in straight games, while Fares Dessouky got the better of Peru’s Diego Elias in four close games.
Asal now meets top seed Ali Farag who also had a tough four game win, over compatriot Mohamed Abouelghar, while Dessouky meets second seed Tarek Momen, a straight-games winner over Wales’ Joel Makin.
