R1: Julianne Courtice (Eng) 3-0 [wc] Nadeen Kotb (Egy) 11-3, 11-6, 11-2 (19m)
A comfortable win for England’s Julianne Courtice over wildcard Nadeen Kobt.
Jules:
“It felt pretty good.
“I had a game plan, wanted to execute it and I felt like I went in there and stuck to my guns. Having a game plan and executing it is key being under this pressure situations – playing a wildcard in Egypt, you know they’re gunning for you. To actually be able to go out there and stick to how I wanted to play and conduct myself how I wanted to is always nice.
“I’m very harsh on myself so I’d probably give myself a six or a seven out of 10.”
