R1: Mayar Hany (Egy) 3-0 Jana Shiha (Egy) 11-8, 14-12, 11-5 (26m)
Mayar Hany comes through in straight games against just-out-of-juniors Jana Shiha …
Mayar:
“The second game was very difficult, she was leading 10-8 and I had to focus like crazy in the last few points so I could win the game,”
“I knew if I lost that one it would be a 3-2 match or something, so I really had to pull that one out.
“I kept saying ‘keeping going’ and ‘just focus’, just push and refocus and play your game, stick to your plan and eventually it will come.
“This is the best playing at home and I hope it’s going to be a good tournament.”
🗣 "The second game was critical… I had to focus like crazy in the last few points."
