R2 : [8] Mohamed Abouelghar (Egy) 3-0 [14] Gregoire Marche (Fra) 11-6, 11-5, 11-6 (32m)
When the Bullet plays at that level, there is very little anybody can do. And as Gregoire mentioned, “sometimes, you can weather the storm, and a few errors come along, but not today. Too good”.
An immaculate performance from the Egyptian today, he took Greg by the throat and never let it go…
He is also hungry as he didn’t play his best squash this season, and will be happy to reach the quarters, and probably more if he keeps that level of performance

Coming into this tournament I had no expectations. I came here with only one win in 2020, so it hasn’t been the best of years for me. I just wanted to play my best squash, enjoy myself and just let it be whatever the result. If it’s a win, it’s a bonus, if it’s a loss then I learn from it. I guess this played a role in how I played tonight.
The good thing is that I’m playing better than the previous match. I’m improving and I think tomorrow I will have a chance to play better as well. I’ll just take it one step at a time and I’ll see what happens.
Playing here in front of my family and friends, it gives me an extra boost and maybe I didn’t have that when I played before. I’m happy with how I’m playing and it helps me a lot.
