“It’s been a whole month that we’ve been fasting and to be on court at this hour, I’m really glad I won this round in four. But it was challenging.
“Of course I would like to play around two or three but being on first, especially fasting for a whole month, it was challenging to get my system to work as normally as I can. I’m glad it went how it went.
“In the beginning of the third game I felt like I wasn’t pushing myself to get her shots, she was hitting a lot of shots all over the court so I had to stay determined. Going into the fourth my coach told me to bring it up a bit and pick them up as I knew she was going to push me around the court. I was trying to make sure I was on it wherever she was going.
“Rowan [Elaraby] is a top 10 player so of course it’s going to be intense. We played a few times last year, we’ve played a lot so I’m hoping I have my game plan and work through it and push her to the limit.”
