A very good effort from Tinne, taking here chances and putting some real pressure on Nour that never looked settled today. Not that we doubted her victory, but she never looked relaxed. I guess the fact she doesn’t do that great in Egypt is one of the reasons, the pressure on her is pretty high I think.
First game was pretty long, 11m, and shows how hard Tinne made Nour work really. All credit to her, she never threw the towel against an Egyptian at home…

It’s good to get my first win here.
I knew that Tinne had been playing well recently and she had just got into the top 20, so I was very focused about that and also the match before went on for a long time, so I had to be extra focused because waiting to go on court to play can make you tense and nervous, but I’m happy that I was able to stay focused.
I’ve never done well in Egypt, playing in front of a home crowd, but it’s nice when your family can come and support. Hopefully I can play well here and we’ll see how it goes.
