2020 Men's Gold Reports REPORTS

R1 : Mosaad eases past Ng

R1 : [13] Omar Mosaad (Egy) 3-0 Eain Yow Ng (Mas)   11-8, 11-5, 11-6 (43m)

Omar Mosaad provided a second Egyptian winner as he beat Malaysia’s Eain Yow Ng in straight games.

Try as he might, the Malaysian could never quite match his opponent’s pace and power, and was always behind on the scoreboard.

Eain Yow

He made it awkward for me from the start, I just couldn’t get my lines, his were pretty accurate, and he never let me get into my rhythm, hence my frustration. And I feel I should have focused more on my squash today, and not on what was going on on court!

I think I approached the match well, but he came firing from the first shot. He never gave me a chance. Only thing I can do now is go back at it, and try and make it better.

I’m feeling pretty good, I think I did a good job today, especially on the mental side,” Mosaad said.

I had a couple of weeks training after Qatar, so I pushed squash, mental training and everything and I’m really happy for my win today. If you lose you learn something, so I’ve done a lot of stuff in the last couple of weeks.

I’m in good shape, I played well and anything can happen, if you play well, you can win.
