Day Three : Quarter-Finals

QUARTER-FINALS : Joelle joins Egyptian trio in semis

Quarter-Finals day in Cairo featured four matches featuring four Egyptians plus contenders from England, France, New Zealand and India.

All four matches went to seeding, as Nouran Gohar came from a game down to beat Hania El Hammamy in increasingly assured fashion, and an Egyptian finalist was guaranteed as Raneem El Welily beat Laura Massaro in straight games.

The second pair of quarters both went the distance, Joelle King coming from one-two down to deny Joshna Chinappa a second upset, and in a repeat of their world semifinal in Chicago, Nour El Sherbini came from one-two down to beat Camille Serme once again.
