Bernat is the kind of player that like to play tight to the wall at a medium pace, he is a super talented player when it comes down to play the “Ali Game”. So I had to play him fast, play him quick, or really slow. Nothing in between. Because in that between, he is special. That was the plan.
When I was speeding up the pace, he woul try and compete with me, and won a few points, but I was winning most of the rallies. He got a bit frustrated, I was volleying even more, mixing up the pace, and it worked in my favour.
He made a lot of unforced silly mistakes, he was with me for one rally, and then errors would be creeping in…
Currently, I’m training with “Kiki” Mohamed ElKeleily in his squash Academy, in Alexandria. Physically, I have some ups and downs and I still have worries about my leg; I’m trying to find a definite solution to the problem by the end of the season.
